How does the AI work?
GroomIQ uses advanced computer vision and machine learning models (powered by OpenAI) to analyze dog photos. The AI identifies breed characteristics, coat type, texture, and condition, then generates customized grooming instructions based on professional grooming standards.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. All photos are encrypted during transmission and stored securely. We never share your photos publicly or use them for marketing without your explicit consent. Anonymized data may be used to improve our AI models. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancel any time through your store account settings. On iPhone: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → GroomIQ → Cancel. On Android: Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → GroomIQ → Cancel. Access continues until the end of your billing period.
How do I request a refund from Apple?
Apple handles all refunds for App Store purchases. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find your GroomIQ purchase, click "Report a Problem," and select "Request a refund." We cannot issue refunds directly—only Apple can process them.
How do I delete my account?
Two ways: (1) In the App: Settings → Account → Delete Account. (2) Via email: send a request to deletion@syndiscore.ai with the subject "Account Deletion Request." Your account and personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
Why does the app need my location?
Location access is optional and only used when you search for nearby veterinarians or groomers using our Google Places integration. We do NOT track your location in the background. You can deny location permission and still use all grooming analysis features.
Does the app work offline?
Some features work offline (viewing saved grooming cards, browsing your dog profiles), but AI analysis requires an internet connection to process photos and generate grooming instructions. We recommend Wi-Fi for the best experience.
Can I use this for cats?
Currently, GroomIQ is optimized for dogs only. Our AI is trained specifically on dog breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques. While the app may analyze cat photos, the results are not reliable. We’re considering adding cat support in the future.
What if the AI gets the breed wrong?
AI breed identification is highly accurate but not perfect, especially for mixed breeds. You can manually override the breed in the dog profile settings, and the grooming instructions will update. If you consistently experience poor results, contact support.
Can I save multiple dogs in the app?
Yes. Premium subscribers can save unlimited dog profiles; free users can save up to 3. Each profile stores photos, breed info, grooming history, and custom notes so you can track needs over time.
